We’re looking for an experienced Scrum Master with a technical background in software engineering to join our engineering team at Codeplay. In this role, you’ll provide guidance and support to multiple teams in their agile journey, helping to foster collaboration, drive continuous improvement, and ensure the timely delivery of high-quality products. You will play a crucial role in promoting an agile mindset, overcoming challenges, and creating an environment where teams can thrive.
This a great opportunity for someone that wants to jump into a full time agile role from a technical engineering background or technical project management and has been working and implementing Agile on their teams.

Key Responsibilities
- Organize and drive meetings for efficient and effective delivery by leading/coordinating standard agile sessions for business-critical initiatives and complex assignments related to size or technical build
- Strong technical background to understand technical challenges the team faces, which allows to provide input where necessary and assist in problem-solving, especially when technical issues arise
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement to enhance productivity. Promote modern engineering practices, CI/CD enablement, and frequent release on-demand practices.
- Identify and address impediments that hinder the team progress. Work to resolve issues, whether they are technical or processes related and help the team maintain a smooth workflow
- Support multiple teams (depending on experience and capacity) by adopting a data-driven approach for continuous improvement.
- Partner with Product Owners, Software Architects and Software Engineering Managers to ensure value-driven and quality-focused delivery.
- Train and mentor Product Owners and development teams on Agile values, principles, and practices.
- Work closely with product owners to ensure features are clear and well-defined and that backlog items are properly prioritized.
- Foster a collaborative environment that encourages open and honest conversations
- Collaborate with the Agile Coach and the agile community to foster an agile mindset.
Required Skills
- In-depth knowledge of Agile principles and practices, with real experience in creating working environments that adhere to them
- Some recognised Agile Practitioner certification (e.g. a Professional Scrum Master Certification)
- Requires a Software Engineering or Computer science degree, or equivalent experience and understanding of software development E.g. previous technical experience in a role such as a Developer, Architect or Technical Project Manager.
- Experience working with Jira and Confluence
- Demonstrated success in building genuinely Agile teams.
- In-depth knowledge of Software Development Life Cycle.
- Proven ability to facilitate productive sessions with diverse stakeholders, promoting collaborative decision making.
- Experience dealing with across team dependencies in complex software projects
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective relationship building across teams and departments.
- Stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence colleagues in small, cross-functional Agile teams
- Experience with Agile metrics, leveraging data to drive improvements and make decisions across teams and the wider business.
Beneficial Skills
- Previous exposure working with Github, Gitlab or MIRO
- Experience working within the semiconductor industry
- Working with remote and hybrid teams in different time zones and geographical areas
- Understanding of testing methodologies (TDD, integration testing, etc)
