• Systems Administrator (Linux + Office365)

    Codeplay is looking for a Systems Administrator to help maintain our internal infrastructure and to work with our external cloud-hosted systems. You will be a key member of our infrastructure and IT support team, helping to support staff and services. You will have the opportunity to influence the evolution of a software development company involved in cutting-edge technologies. Prospective candidates will ideally have demonstrable experience managing and maintaining Linux servers, as well as experience with Microsoft's Office 365 platform. This role is open to candidates from a range of backgrounds and experience levels.

    As a successful candidate your role will cover:
    • Hands-on Linux systems administration
    • Automating Linux server deployment with configuration management
    • Managing server backups
    • Managing access control, security rules and server hardening
    • Server provisioning (bare metal and virtual)
    • Monitoring server performance and availability
    • Researching and improving our infrastructure and services

    Office 365 Administration
    • Managing our user accounts in Office 365
    • On-/Off-boarding users
    • Administrating Exchange Online
    • Administrating Azure AD and InTune
    • Managing Windows 10 provisioning and deployment
    • Administrating security rules and access controls within Exchange Online and Azure AD
    • Managing software licenses

    Required Skills And Experience
    The ideal candidate is a self-motivated individual who can work through problems from start to finish and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines as required to support software projects. You will be working on technology that is usually not publicly announced and may be several years away from public release. The candidate must also understand the sensitive nature of the work we undertake. You should be able to work both independently and collaboratively within teams of various differing skill sets and expertise. Codeplay works with cutting-edge technology and takes on a diverse range of projects, so you should be able to adapt to new technologies, responsibilities and projects.
    • Administrating Linux servers (preferably Ubuntu, Debian and CentOS)
    • Virtualisation technologies (preferably KVM)
    • Configuration management and IT automation (preferably Puppet, Ansible)
    • Microsoft Exchange administration (preferably Exchange Online)
    • Office 365 administration
    • LDAP/AD administration
    • Backup technologies
    • Server/network monitoring
    • Knowledge of ticket and help desk systems

    Beneficial Skills And Experience
    • Experience deploying Windows 10 clients
    • Active Directory administration (preferably Azure AD)
    • Experience with enterprise servers (preferably Dell, Supermicro)
    • Computer networking and security
    • Passion for open source software
    • Experience with RADIUS
    • Experience with continuous integration servers
    • Software development and build systems
